Went ahead and purchased a ticket - the area is beautiful in general around there that time of year too!

The book of the last exhibition is worth a gander as well, if you've been on the fence. Gorgeous trees.

It may sound silly but seeing the trees that reach that level is rather humbling, in a good way. I think that's a good feeling.

Is the show a mix of experience to visit? Would a novice to the hobby be in the way?

Most of the trees exhibited will be extremely good, even world class. The vending area will have material for all levels of experience. If you can, attend, you should :). You’ll see why we’re all nuts about Bonsai 😬

Even if there weren't any trees on display, the vendor area is worth the price of admission alone. Completely overwhelming bonsai Mecca. For any skill and price range.

The best trees in the country being steps away is nice, too.
