I really like the "architectural ruin" pots made from off-spec extrusions and scraps. They are a challenge to "finish" and then develop a vision as to what they may represent. The brick one reminded me of a Roman aqueduct. The multi-sided, one, some old Grecian or Roman ruin... The white round was testing how thin a slab I could get away with. This is a real neat glaze that does not show well in pictures. Creamy white with hints of pink and green when in the light.
I'll use "grass pots" as glaze testers. Trying my very runny green glaze on various combinations of base layers. Absolutely love how it behaves on my Klingon-Cochoy tribute pots. Scraping kiln shelves, not so much.
The bit of "wonk" was deliberate, trying to get a bit of an angle or lemon shape out of it. The last one is a shot glass/glaze test. Really liking the liner- can't wait to try it on an exterior.
My daughter is a photographer. She was over on Thursday and started "playing around". (my wife makes goat's milk soap and I have started making soap dishes for her)
