I picked up my golden gate yesterday to water it and for no reason in particular checked the bottom of the pot and noticed a couple of roots poking out. It was bare rooted and repotted from the plastic nursery container into this azalea pot less than two months ago, so I was surprised to see this. I cut off the roots at the base of the drainage hole. Hopefully it spurs some root growth closer up towards the trunk.

I've also got new buds popping out on the ends of all the branches, so I'm quite please with myself.

I checked it today and found even more roots extending out of the bottom of the pot now.

Sorry if this isn't interesting to anyone else, but I'm excited to see so much vigorous growth.

Oh, I still giggle when I see those roots pop out in my hot house. ;)

The pleasure of watching things grow and abound!
