What an amazing find as mine is still a baby compared to yours as I purchased it in July of this year. I am looking forward to seeing your progress.

The leaves look really large for a kojo no mai! Is it just optical disillusion fooling me?

Dunno mate. Same as my other little ones. The heavy feed maybe?
Mine has very little leaves and when I purchased it the nursery told me that mine was a dwarf kojo no Mia. Maybe yours is not the dwarf type but your leaves do look exactly like mine in shape.

In any case your tree is amazing

Doing fine mate. It didn't enjoy the heavy long cold snap we had at the end of spring, lost a small branch, but theres too many long term.

How's that funky Barberry? Done anything with it or growing?

Both ;)
Was looking at it last night, thinking I needed to trim & remove the wire. Then probably some carving. Thinking I could make it completely hollow, once enough juices are flowing.
