The branch off to the right will be removed, it’s a long way from being done. Just wanted to follow my progress

Why remove rt. branch:confused:? At very least will help make lower trunk bigger.

Take the branch off. Let the terminal branch growths thicken the trunk and you will have a better root system and you will not have to look at the scar for awhile.

I think that branch, if we're talking about the same one, will bulge the base, but not much more. Not a fan of that aesthetical end.

But ..

I wouldn't remove it either, though I understand what penumbra is getting at....

There is still a balance between having the health of the foliage on that branch and not.
The difference being the exact amount of time it takes the other side to regrow that amount of folaige.

And heresy becomes heresay.

The right branch doesn't have much left on it. The foliage in the back is connected to the top branch.
