Hey everyone, first post here. A couple of years ago I knew my retirement was coming up and I always wanted to do bonsai (tried a few times but just had too nomadic a lifestyle). Anyway, I finally got started and I've been having great success with air layering except this one American Elm. All the other U.Amer- rooted in 4 weeks or less. This one has had a bag of moss on it for 4 months. There's callus and little white nodes but no roots. I'm figuring to leave it bagged for the winter and see what happens. Any advice would be great! Here's the tree below.

btw, The way I found you all was that I had questions about the science behind why this worked. I knew a little bit of it, but not much. I did search for the science of air layering an who'd a thunk it! I found "EXACTLY" what I was looking for right here. The internet actually delivered! And you people seem great.
