I'm getting close to wrapping up a bonsai display but I haven't been able to locate a nice Metal Shohin display - Bigger the better trying to get one around 5'+.

Does anyone know a vendor in FL? I'm about to bust a welding torch out and go for it...

Thanks!

A METAL display????

What do you have in mind?

Metal is unusual to say the least.

Mainly something that will last a long time. It will be permanently outside so I'm not going to set some Rosewood stand out there to get hit by the elements.

How about concrete?

I've also seen some nice rustic ones made of old railroad ties. They usually pop up free on craigslist here. Note that they are creosoted and may not be acceptable to you.

I wonder if you could commission one of the companies in this listing... particularly "Art's Work" seems like they'd be the kind of company that could do jobs like that.

I would be concerned about the display stand getting way to hot if it was metal. However something done in Square Extruded Tube could be welded up to "look" traditional Slat. Would also be able to keep itself cooler having some airflow
