This is my first attempt in side grafting. In 3/09, I did multiple side grafting with cork pine to landscape JBP (my purpose to have few branches of cork pine for a stock of scion later on) and JBP to JBP. After one month, I placed one tree under the direct sunlight, others were still under the shade of landscape tree. Today, the 2 trees didn't get direct sunlight, have live grafting (pic.1). The one received direct sunlight at one month old, has 2 dead grafting (pic. 2). I didn't follow my teacher's instruction . Bonhe

Thanks for sharing your lesson. At least you do have some that should succeed.

Nice job on the successes, and you learned from your mistake. Furthermore, you posted it for all to see so other will not (hopefully) make the same mistake.

Do you know what cultivar of Cork bark BP you have?
