Click to expand... Actually... there’s only one species named Acer palmatum So i’d Say that it is most definitely A. palmatum don’t know the variety.

Yes, that's a feature of Deshojo. Youngest leaves red, then fading to greener as you can see on your picture and then hardening off and become green. They're beautiful in spring - all red and in summer - red on green.
