I have no answers to this observation.

Why are Ladybirds climbing my Conifers and then sitting about one the uppermost needle one per tree?

It puzzles me.

There have been a surprising number of studies of ladybird (ladybug) behavior. They hibernate over winter and it'[s fairly common for them to colonize the inside of a house and stay there all together in onje place on a wall or ceiling until spring. Your phenomena is not one I have heard before, however it makes some sense that they would want to be as high up as possible to take advantage of the sun for warmth this time of year (above the shade of the needles).

Either they're on Aphid Patrol, or maybe they're waiting for you to decide on what to wish for....

Do you have ladybird whisperers in the UK?
