quietobserver thats an outrageous tree. 'love those bald cypresses ...
we even got some of them in germany, but as a matter of course not that size ;)

thank you Steve:)

matt,
the tree had been digged in 2011,
first styling in 2012,
no insults in 2013,
crown edited in 2014,
major carving had been done in late 2015

Almighty internet. I like it and your Works as well, mate. 1 more question, which picture do you consider as a view one?

well, i will basically go on with the first picture,
but next repotting will bring on a slightly chage of planting angle
in the pot.

You might be right. I like the 3rd picture, but just from the picture. If healing of the wounds, deadwood aging / treatment goes well, show it. It'll be perfect.

Not a long distance run, but marathon. This is my password. If I can't enjoy my trees, my children will have this opportunity, or their children... Our trees need patience, love, care and time to be shown in their best clothes. In think this is the philosophy of bonsai. Have a nice evening.

Wow, it's really coming along nicely, very cool indeed!
What's the current height of this tree?

Thanks for sharing the progress photos.

And, as always, just for the record an update of the linden_clump.
Repotted this spring, so from now on no major works untill late summer.
Just Clip and grow. There will be a carving session in autumn to make the
trunc-relicts more integrated in the overall-design.
