alright, alright ...
i swear to you folks, that will be the last linden i'll post.

with this kind , i am finally "welcom to crazy" you may think ...
what makes an average intelligent, middle-european male
digging out such an ugly clump, a log, a woodwaste?
i really dont know what me made to do so, but maybe ... ?

Passion!

while driving my car, i saw that treestump from the corner of my eye
standing on an area of a construction site.
i decided in a splitsecond , that i would like to give it a try.
trying to do something out of nothing.
and so the journey on the edge between disgrace and satisfaction begun ...

yamadorised and potted:

and i thought that this virtual could somehow be the future design

017ti9.JPG

but the experiment "went out of control" ...
the tree decided to look completely different ...
let me know if you like to see the next stage of development ...

and this is how the clump turns out after two years.
the tree showed , wich sap-lines he decided to establish.
then i hollowed the trunc very carefully ...
well, maybe the performance of the clump is a bit headstrong today,
but time will bring some patina on the bleached, carved parts ...

this design showes a typical picture of a very late chapter within a linden's life.
germanys oldes tree is a 1000 yeras old linden.
there are only parts of the former trunc left over.
this will be the fate of this tree as well ...

I would have never been able to fix that saw wound ever, you did a really nice job man, looks very natrual (maybe the second-last picture could be more tapered but it will grow ofcourse and get better).

Something unexpected, very nice, as you stated it'll need some time. Here is our oldest linden, more than 700 years old King's Mathew Linden. I think it needs some carving:) From the city of my birth.Bojnice_-_lipa_krala_Mateja.jpg
