How do you get them to flower?

I have no idea about mine's age, but it's about 4cm diameter at the base so not a youngling anymore!

actually i don't know but it is awesome when those new shoots come out red instead of green.2 out of 50 have pushed flower buds.all the seeds were planted at the same time + they all came off the same parent tree...this particular pot has been in partial shade the whole winter + last year it only shot leaves ???
