End of year. Really pleased with development. For those that say rubrum are not an all around great subject due to x or y, there are some examples out there proving otherwise. Maybe one day this one will be an example of a good quality shohin.

Nice work staying on your path with this one.

I agree that scale is an issue here if trying to represent a convincing miniature.
However, I believe not all trees have to fallow these guidelines. Sometimes it’s the impact a tree makes that is most important.
If you can get a positive emotion from the viewer, you’ve done something right.

I really dont think the leaf size, internode length, and petiole length are as unconquerable as people often say.

Thanks! This tree should get mossed over by end of spring/summer so the exposed roots arent really a worry of mine at the moment. If the tree starts to show signs of drying out too fast, Ill cover them with sphagnum.
