New member here,
I’ve seen several threads about post Christmas Italian stone pines. I have one and have been hacking on it but I’m stuck. Would someone give me some pointers on what to keep and prune please?

Thanks in advance!
Also apologies after many attempts I cannot get the photo upright.

Welcome aboard! Nice tree!

Focus on keeping it alive. It like a Mediterranean climate, so don't overwater it.

Do you have a basic goal in mind?

On PC, I click the little "Insert Image" button (or Control+P) and drag the picture to that box.

Your Christmas decoration ISP looks like ones I have had poor success with over the past few years. The trees are grafted and mine all had a reverse taper at the graft, just above ground level. So I air layered the trees above the graft. Now that the tree is on its own ISP roots I am having difficulty with them and unable to make them happy (I am still trying). I live in the SE USA zone 8A, even monthly rain 44"/year, high humidity. Very far from a Mediterranean climate. Good luck.

Good info, I’m in South Carolina so this is on target.
