My air layer was looking great, with lots of roots in the bag. Two days ago the leaves started to dry up. I am giving it adequate water. I don't know what is going on. Please help!!!

Usually when this happens it is because the roots have dried up but if you are giving plenty of water I don't know what might be happening.

How hot and windy has it been in your local recently? Hot winds can desiccate leaves in a day.

A while back I had a Buckthorn go limp wet.
It was fresh dug so I figured it didn't have enough root.
This year, same thing happened, only I was more sure there was good rootage.
Turns out it just needed more shade.
Nothing has broken?
