So I have this American Elm tree that was estimated to be almost 100 years old growing through my deck. Unfortunately it took a lightening strike a couple of years ago and is a downward path pretty rapidly. It is still alive but don't know how much longer it has before I have to remove it so it doesn't fall and crush my house. It is a beautiful tree and it's structure is amazing. I have never air layered before so I thought I'd ask you pro's at all things tree if 1. It is feasible and 2. How you would go about it. I'd love to be able to at least save a piece of it. This tree was planted when the house was built in the 1930's. Thanks fellas
