this boxwood is another species than the normal one. this one is is extremely slow grower (two sets of leaves each year) tiny and smaller leaf size.

i do not know what it's name. than "local boxwood"

wish me luck with air-layering

Good luck Nabil. I'm starting some air layers myself today. Pictures of the process later.

I have never air layered boxwood, but I can tell you from experience that when I prune my kingsvilles and try to root them in soil, a very high percentage succeeds. They are very willing to generate roots and grow.

I've layered several big ones and got 100% success & usually separate it in about 3 months.

Your posted growth is super slow, my (Japanese) boxwood probably produce a pair of leaves (or more) every 2 weeks during the growing season.

Good luck! Where do you plan to layer it? Try cuttings in sand also.
