I doubt they’ll open this year. You can cut back to them, and that’s where the new growth will start next spring.

is that bad news? I’m thinking it’s ok to prune back to this new growth. - that is if it’s not already at the branch tip.🤨😀
 
It looks sparse. If there are new buds opening, it’s because it needs more solar panels! I would not prune.
 
Repotted my battered DAS.
First time raking out the roots.
Trimmed only the longest roots back.

Also removed wire as it was starting to bite.
