I'm starting this thread to document this tree. I collected it this spring, I'm hoping it survives the summer.

Update: It's still alive, but going to need a lot of work. I'm hoping to be able to carve that wound, but I'm pretty bummed that it didn't bud back further down. I can try to remove some foliage off the top next spring in hopes it pushes some dormant buds on the trunk.
