For me this spring i am most looking forward to Horse Chestnut development, the aim being to eventually represent a grouping of pollarded conker trees in cultivation for winter viewing.
I admire the handsome foliage even skeletonized in late August,i enjoy the sturdiness and in particular the flowers.
I'm reading about a lack of blooms on Bonsai and am considering the possibility it may be neccessary to take cuttings of the flowering regions of mature trees instead of waiting for flowers to form on those specimens kept in a persistent vegetative state, sort of like the well recognised growth behavior of the unrelated Brugmansia.
