Here is another one of my barberries I lifted from the ground on my property this evening. I'm not quite sure what the future might hold for this one (clump/multi-trunk). I didn't want to cut back too much of the larger trunks until I figure out a design down the road and also ensure that it survives.

Hi Matt.

If you take all of your Barberries and put them together, you could have the makings of a pretty gnarly and menacing looking forest planting. Just a thought. Make sure to wear kevlar gloves when you prune these babies!

Hey Bob. Call it a barbed wire forest with no need for a no trespassing sign! Those damn barbs go right through leather gloves.

Maybe this clump has a future looking like a tree out of a Tim Burton film. I couldn't resist drawing up a virtual.
