I have a client who has recently moved house out of my area but I'm helping them for a couple of weeks whilst they sort everything out. They have a hedgerow that they want to get rid of but before I offer my services I'd like to know what it is. There isn't anything around with the same kind of seed head.

Someone has suggested Buxus harlandii but I don't think they're right. I thought Box initially but I've never seen one with bark or seed/flower heads like this

Thinking now maybe Euonymus of some kind but I'm still not sure whether the bark and seed heads match

I think it's been cracked. Thinking now it's Olearia of some kind. Don't think I've ever come across another one

I think you got it. I ran through box, ceanothus, viburnums and the seedheads never matched. Of course it's an Asteraceae plant!
