Here's another Prunus Mume I've recently acquired. Here's the progression. There's an interim pic I can't find, but the first pic is from when I got the tree about two years ago. I repotted and pruned down pretty good into a manageable "bush" for lack of a better descriptor. Left it alone last year, got a few little white flowers that just dropped off and hence the heavy pruning.

This one has a HUGE nasty chunk of deadwood smack in the middl of the ideal front of the tree. I'm still not sure what to do with it yet. :confused:

Nice purchase! Telperion is awesome -- got one of my favorite Tridents from Chris. Extremely nice base! That will make an awesome tree. :D

Also, ume make for terrific jin subjects. ;-D

Consider connecting the pruning scars and big snag of deadwood into one Shari on the front.
