Another small Larch

Here is a before and after of a larch I wired today and collected last spring. Nothing drastic just wiring the branches down and planning to change the angle. I found this larch growing in a ditch, it looks like it had been mowed over at one point. I have some others collected in the same area that I plan to wire in the next few days. I am assuming I should wait to repot and work on the roots but would like to this spring if it's not too early? Looking for suggestions and thoughts.

It grew pretty vigorously after collection? If so repotting is probably needed. These put out roots like crazy.

It looks great!

I think it's just about time to repot it in a smaller pot, you've got something promising there...

Thanks for the comments guys, I had fun wiring this one. I will post a few more after I wire them.

Mike, yes it grew really vigorously. I had put a wire to train up a leader after collection and before I realized it the wire had bit in realllly deep.

I believe the accepted timing for repotting a Larch is before any green shows in your buds.

Love it. I'm following. Just ordered a little one for a starter last week.
