I love the antiquity, and the wonderful artwork. The pots are a strong statement to the skilled
craftsmen, who shaped, designed and baked the clay.

That said, as an avid student to japanese display.such beauty seemingly distracts from the tree because the pot steals the show. I struggle to see these types used with a tree.

I have something similar (not the great age of course) because I like the pot, but it sits on my shelves to be appreciated for what it is, with nothing in residence.

I think all bonsai people love and appreciate beautiful pots whether they are antique or not.

For shohin, pot stealing the show is much of the romance of that part of bonsai art. These painted pots look great with Chojubai quince, persimmon and flowering trees.
