I’ve been working on this for half a year or so. Thoughts? How should I be styling the top and new growth?

I think it is fine for now. A half year in bonsai world is like 30 seconds. Just keep it healthy for now and remember that the best time for working on tropicals is mid summer. Keep an eye on that wire and don't let it bite in enough to disfigure the branches. It takes many years for a Fukian Tea to outgrow wire marks.

Hi!

Design wise I think you achieved a correct structure.
Few flaws that could corrected through the years.
As @penumbra suggest good horticultural practices is your goal for now!
