Looking for a place or a group that goes yamadori hunting,I usually go to north Michigan in fall to collect but I cant get away this year.if any large adult groups or clubs near western suburbs illinois and you're going collecting let me know.

You could check out BC bonsai growing grounds, (https://www.bcbonsai.com/) a little south of Rockford. Almost as much fun as yamadori hunting, and great prices for dig-your-own trees.
