Hey everyone,

Any idea what this is and should i be worried about it on my white pine?

It looks like needlecast. It usually doesn't affect JWP as much as JBP, but it can. Spray with Daconil and/or copper fungicide. Alternate them.

Yes, you have needle cast - a fungus growing inside those needles with the brown band. Remove every needle with a brown band, spray with Daconyl.

There's fungus amongus!

That's the nicest photo of needlecast I have ever seen :) It's like something you would find in an encyclopedia :) I have to admit I have never seen it on a five needle pine before, personally.

Thanks! trying to use a new camera but yeah that's why i wasn't sure what it was, there isn't many pictures needlecast on white pines.
