@Vasyl the Northern Lights series of hybrids are probably hardy enough to winter on your balcony, maybe set in a empty styrofoam beer cooler. "White Lights" is listed as hardy to - 40 F. (which happens to be -40 C)
I overwinter my trees in an unheated basement at work. This year most of my trees will be living at my work (almost like me lately) as they don't fit on my balcony anyomore. Overwintering is not a problem.

I went to the Chicago Botanic Garden today, they had Korean azaleas planted in the Japanese Garden. The leaves at the flower buds were just under an inch long. Might be another option to try.
