I’m looking to get a cryptomeria japonica. I’ve been in love with this tree for a long time.
1. Can someone ID the one from attached pic? Is it ‘jindai Sugi’
2. What’s the most common cultivar for bonsai?
3. Anyone with experience growing black dragon cultivar?

Thank-you for the help! Have a great fall season and I hope everyone is enjoying the fall colors.

The odds! Ty so much for the pics!!!
Yeah when I saw the pic you posted I looked at my girl friend and said “ imma deliver more than this man asked” sorry if I don’t have the exact cultivar. I can ask my teacher and if no answer I’ll ask his or bsop people. But iirc it’s simply a crypt japonica.

You could also email hagedorn and see if he would answer for you.
