Has anyone worked with a fuschia? I have seen a few amazing pictures of these but there isn't a whole lot of information on them.

I've read that on Bonsai4me. Lol hell I've read that whole website many times and still go back to it as a referance point. It's great info and can be used for certain but it is still in another region/country. I was hoping maybe someone here has worked with them. Maybe had a little progression series or something. Maybe I'll buy one and do the usual trial and error based off the information provided from B4M.

I live on Puget Sound - zone 8b. I have sevearal fuschia "magellanica's" growing in my yard. They die back most winters and grow to about 6ft tall every season, just like Harry describes. I have dug up some root chunks and potted them on several occasions. The only problem I have encountered is that they are surprisingly cold fragile in pots. Else it seems to go pretty much as Harry shows, though I have yet to achieve anything like Harry did. Nevertheless, I had enough fun to get hooked on bonsai and enough experience to move on to real trees.

Just buy one (or more) and get on with having fun.
I just started a couple of starts again. Thanks for reminding me!
