Anything wrong with my birch seedling?

Hi there,

I've noticed, for a lack of a better term, holes in my birch's leaves. Not sure if this is normal as I've seen this in photos of other birch seedlings in the internet. Also, should i take any precautions in the winter with my seedlings?

At first glance it looks like damage from leaf miners. If so a systemic insecticide should help. However, leaves will be dropping soon anyway.
