Arakawa with some serious character

I worked on this arakawa over the weekend in my study group and I’m really excited about the progress. The top half of the trunk died awhile back and I started the process of carving out the trunk, along with some major pruning and some minor wiring and branch anchoring. Last couple pics are from summer and fall. Established a new leader and I’m looking forward to the next 5 years! do you intend to seal the big wound over time? it looks like there is good potential to do that
