So I got a message on ebay from the seller that sent me cherry blossom Bougianvillea saying that he sent me something in the mail. Oddly enough a package came in the mail today after my replying back to him. Mind you I had discussed with him briefly my plan on teaching a youth in our youth group about bonsai and letting her work the tree that I got from him. So upon opening the box I was surprised to see two bonsai pots, also mesh for the holes and then some... as well as what looks to be scoops.

What a kindly gesture!
Edit:
The yellow and green items are I am assuming scoops.

Looks like a scoop to me. Of course they are way higher tech then the Folger can I use. Pretty cool.

Thanks Mike...I had assumed they were. The seller offered me a few things...as well as pre-bonsai material...when I mentioned our youth group. I declined and thanked him. When I explained that living in Ohio there were no more windows of opportunity for nice weather. The boat sailed when I thought I had good weather supposedly when I had his bougainvillea shipped. But did appreciate his kind gesture.

So this blew me out of the water when I heard he was sending something out...then to have it arrive the same day!

Yes very nice gesture. He knows that you will be paying it forward though. Which is something you do often I believe. Nice things happen to nice people. We all could learn a thing or two from you in the nice department I think.

Awww thanks Mike for the kind words...just plain vanilla I am. But it never hurts to be nice. One never knows the battles others have to face just to put one foot in front of the other. If you can put but a smile on a persons face...might be the thing that lifts their spirits and help put a spring in their step as they go their own way.

Soil scoops! These are primo! I have a set of stainless steel ones and they are invaluable when repotting for getting soil just where you want it!

Thanks! I wanted to send the seller a note of thanks...but wanted to make sure I was calling them correctly for their purpose.

Suddenly the coffee can isn't cutting it anymore. Dam this forum anyway! Something else I need now.

You have me blushing...I appreciate the kind words, but didn't expect them. From you or others...I was just taken by surprise when this seller went and did what he did. I again, wished to thank the seller...but didn't wish to appear foolish if I had guessed wrong on the items he sent.

To say the very least...when warm weather arrives again...I most definitely will peek occasionally to see what he has to offer. He has reasonable priced items. Maybe I'll let Haley (my youth chickie)peek at his offerings as well.

Sometimes these scoops have a mesh screen in the bottom. Do yours?

That looks like a nice profile for a scoop. The only thing that I am looking for more in a scoop is a screen at the bottom so I don't have to sift an entire bag at a time.
