Grant Bowie Mame Messages 103 Reaction score 4 Location Canberra Australia Oct 13, 2011 #3 Oh well, No answer so I will answer with the Ash I know. Fraxinus angustifolia or Desert ash. Here is a piece of nursery stock before work similar to one I worked on a few years ago. Here also is a pic of the leaf and the possible reduction after defoliation and various techniques. No it is not grafted; it is one I grew from seed and is only 12 years old. The branches/trunk above the corky area is only about 5 years old and so has not become rough/corky yet. Grant

Ash, not sure how they will work out, the leave do reduce some, not sure about what I'll do with the pinnate leaves. They may be destined for yard trees.
