This tree is growing well after a difficult winter here in the Midwest. The tree did lose several smaller secondary and tertiary branches.

Nice. I really like the ribbon Shari going into the Jin and the more upright feel. Over time I can see less foliage supporting the graceful trunk.
Pot selection will be a fun project. What do you envision, bag oval, nanban?

Wow, looks fantastic. Totally agree with Brian that perhaps someday a little less foliage; the trunk has such a light and airy feel which is just wonderful.

Haven’t seen many Ashe junipers around but I think this proves that they can make very nice bonsai :)

I would agree over time the tree will reduce in branching as it continues ramification.

As fir a pot. Some options if shapes would be
Lotus
Oval
Soft rectangle

These come to mind when looking at the tree.

Something with a reddish color to match the bark and contrast the lime green foliage.

I will add some more Shari this fall.
