Asian Pear?

My neighbor was tossing this out today, I thought it had some interesting qualities so I grabbed it up. She thinks it's a type of Asian pear. She said it has fruited the last few years but the fruit is small about 2".

Not sure, I looked at pictures online and the bark & flowers appear to be on par with Asian pear. It needs a lot of work but maybe worth trying? or should I not waste the time?

Thanks
Tim

Totally worth the time the nebari on that thing are fantastic, not to mention the well developed barking along the trunk. anything free is worth throwing in a pot to see what happens. How bout a full shot picture of the entire tree?

Thanks for the encouragement on this thing, I thought it was pretty neat with the bark. Now to just figure out what to do with it. I am sorry I thought I put the whole tree picture in but here it is.

yeah totally sweet looking. Looks to have tons of potential. Id leave it alone this year and let it recoup from the transplant. Im not the guy to ask on styling, but im sure there are some guys on here who would be happy to help get you going in the right direction. keep us posted.

Good luck.
