I have collected one yew and two more are waiting. However I have no idea which species they are. Two have a more or less upright spreading form and one is a widely spreading version. They don’t appear to be T. cuspidata as the undersides of the needles are pale mint green in color. So I assume they are either baccata or x media. Does anyone know any distinguishing physical characteristics of each so as to tell then apart? I am wondering because bacatta is only good down to zone 6 whereas x media can take zone 4 winters.
