Less sun sure changes the color of the bracts. These are normally very very bright red. They are almost pink when its winter and in the greenhouse. Lost most of the green at this point also.

Did some work on this tree today. Took it out of the trainer pot. Trimmed the root ball. Stuck it into another pot simular in size. Removed wire. Trimmed, re wired and defoliated. Should come back pretty nice.

Racked up 4-5 of these so far, my neighbor about as many.
Got the one large size left. Everything treated pretty much the same as the live one.....all dead.
I thought these things were easy?:D:D:D:D:D:D

Pretty color and ugly as sin trunk...….nice!:cool::cool:

Mine are not enjoying this winter inside. They typically drop all their leaves when they get brought in then bounce back quickly. This year the bouncing back is not so quick. I lost one small one, no clue why. Hurry up, spring!

In my defense, all but one were acquired when I first started.:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

But within the last 2-3, my neighbor, ("better" than me with these) killed a couple nice ones he acquired. In fact, he's had a rough couple years with big losses.
Still tough to try and convince a friend with a little more "experience" not to do something. In this case, a way too early repot binge.:(:(:(:(
I miss them trees, I'm in the garden twice as much as everyone else, so they were like "friends".;)

Hey, sorry to bring down the room on a Wednesday!:p:p:p:p Carry on!!!!!!!:)
