I bought a bald cypress in what I believe is a 15 gallon container in Ohio which is zone 7 I believe. Last year I chopped it and got a lot of new growth. The part I am at I have almost no idea how to go about...

My questions are:

This year I want to repot... what is the best time to do so?

When I do repot, how much of the root mass do I remove? (Im assuming that there is a huge mass)

What kind of soil do I pot it in?

Do I completely leave the tree alone for the rest of the year? ie: no pruning and such

If theres anything else anyone can think of I really appreciate it

Search bald cypress for specific examples, there is some recent convo. "Similar threads" just below the reply bix too.
Basically, the trees can be pretty bulletproof, and you can remove a lot of roots if done right.
