Found 12 ft Bald Cypresses at Home Depot in May and picked one up for $35. After some research I found they're supposed to backbud on old wood well, and boy was that advice spot on. I never imagined it would backbud this well. First pic was May 24th, 2021 and second pick was today June 23rd, 2021. I probably made the chop a week before the first pick. The photos show basically one month's progression. Now I wish I would've chopped it back further orginally, but I guess I still can. I just had to chop it at the store to fit it in my Jeep and went conservative. Nothing like chopping a tree at the store where you bought it. The faces you get.
