Bare root tree advice

Hi all I received these in the mail today and was instructed to soak in cold water overnight and then plant. It said not to attempt to plant in pots. I have space in my garden right now that I can put them all in the ground and mulch with straw. It’s in the 90’s right now and my garden gets about 7hrs of sun. Is this the right way to go? 3 larch and 2 black walnut. Thanks for any help.

With the heat we are under right now, anything planted now has a very good chance of not making it.

I would follow the instructions provided.
I would make sure they are watered well after planting and hope for the best.
