Found a boxwood in the clearance bin that was obviously neglected but had a solid radial root and amazing trunkline right ot of the box.

Whereever it was stored lent a nice natural shape for windswept. Attached below are before shots, inspiration for the style, and the initial styling as it begins to grow for the season.

Updated it the day after with some moss I found and will post more shots 1 week from now.

Recently repotted 3 weeks after to treat root problems (tangles/old tap roots) and remove excess fertilizer pellets from nursery soil. Roots now have radial shape.

Hope it inspires!

Has anyone tried deadwood on buxus? I routinely come across free plants but would need a reason to pick one up

I have one about yea 👌 thick. 7/8 around the trunk is deadwood, and it's the only one growing well this year.
