Help! What should I do. I ordered green beeches but got 9 red, 5 green.

Should I make:
a forest with all trees all mixed up
A forest with all the trees, green on one side red on the other
or two separate ones?

Just to be different, mix them up! The growth patterns are exactly the same and I think it could look very effective. (but beeches are mainly for winter viewing) I have a few red ones lying around and I might do the very same thing come to think about it...It might probably end up looking more like a ''garden'' scene rather than a wild forest but is that necessarily bad?

I am still not hugely convinced... I don't think garden is what I look for, but maybe there are beech forests with red and green trees.

I'm for a mix, the contrast may look natural and interesting.
One note - if you keep red beech partially shaded, they don't show too much of red, they're more or less dark green, same with other species, e.g. red JMs, red barberries, smoke trees...

I'm gonna give it a try and post images later this weekend.

I can separate them next year if needed.

Green ones got a lot of leaf burn so i won't be using them because i cannot give them the protection they need. Besides, there were only two green ones and not 9 and 5 but 13 and 2.

So i left only red ones.
Doubting if I should let these root some more in their pot and transplant next year to a forest pot/slab.
