Hi i met Peter Foele over the weekend. He looked at all my Bonsai materials and he discussed the future plans on them all. Anyway the most important task and difficult task he gave me to do is to shift my Japanese Yew apex upwards or make it point upwards more so the main trunk all flows upwards. I have until November to complete this and thats when we will wire my yew.

He advised me to get a metal bar and wire it to the apex trunk and then wire the left side down so it shifts the apex upwards. Sorry if I haven't explained it well but i hope the photos give you an idea.

I just need to find a reasonable lengthy bar to do this. Anyone else have another idea? If i use a bar and wire will i also need raffia tape?

Picture 1. My finger is pointing to the apex which needs to be shifted upwards. So all the trunk is continuously flowing up
