I am traveling to north Georgia for vacation. I live in southwest Florida. I wanted to bring a small pine tree back to bonsai. I was wondering what the best pine species I could buy at a local Georgia nursery would be. I understand that general garden nurseries may not carry the specific types of trees that are best for bonsai, so I’m just looking for the best of the possible options I may encounter. I appreciate any advice I can get!

Why not go to a bonsai nursery and buy a prebonsai.
Depending on where you are going there are some good ones in GA.

@Adair M knows where to go

A Rid said, Plant City in Clermont is the place to go. They have a good selection of black pines.
