Found an interesting source for "antique" stands. Some of them look pretty cool; http://bonsai.vndv.com/stands1.htm


John Wang from Southern California. His stuff is pretty pricy and his scrolls are pretty pricy also. He showed a display in the Kazari in 2009. Depends on what you consider antique. I consider a stand antique from the 19th century or more. 20th century stands are considered classics to me.

Dig a little more on the page and there are a couple of interesting articles on his apprenticeship in Japan and a great one on old bonsai pots...

This guy John Wang is good! I have never met him, but his trees and pots at our local shows are always of the highest quality.
Thanks Rockm, for the info. I just got some good reading out of that website. The stuffs are too expensive for my blood though.
