What the best time to re-pot a bonsai tree ? I'm guessing just after winter's ended ( early spring )

I just re-potted in late winter and now the buds are starting on my Tamarind tree . Thought It's was dead as the tree was leafless for two months ,but has finally started to bud etc...
learnt my lesson now :)

It depends on what kind of tree. For tropicals, repotting is best done in the late spring/summer, when they are growing vigorously.
