big bougie, to cut or not to cut...

I need help or suggestion to re style my big bougie, do I need to cut the overgrown 2 branches or keep it and style it with this. or airlayer to create 2 tree and the base as sumo bonsai...

I'd keep it as-is and style with the 2 big branches. Probably remove the 3rd on the back though.

I don't know much about bougies, but can you take another picture from further away so we can see the whole tree? And try to put it against a plain background. I think I'm with Dario, but can't tell for sure because it's hard to see in the photos...

I tend to agree with Dario also. You have alot of movement throughout the piece and that back link is very straight and kind of jarringly horizontal.

The two lower thick branches need to be removed.
The top needs to be removed at an angle and the branch right there needs
to be wired up to form the new leader, to create a taper, like in the
second photo.

On a bougie seeing that they will put out new growth just about anywhere,
resolve these issues now, and save yourself all the trouble later.

Thanks for the recommendation, I will cut the overgrown branch. Your sketch are nice and now I can see the future of this tree. Thank you!
